Postpartum Reset

Becoming a mother and growing a family is a beautiful life passage, one in which a woman should not have to sacrifice her degnity, basic comfort or ability to enjoy a healthy sex life during or following the reproductive years; simply because she chose to bear children.

Though materal care includes a postpartum visit to screen depression, discuss contraception and breasfeeding, and examine the health of the uterus, cervix, vaginal repair site and rectum; it does not does not include evalutation of musculoskelatal structure and biomechanics of the pelvic floor or the correlating integrity of the abdominal wall a sacrolumbar spine.  A Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist has special traning in the latter and for the record, ALL areas are essential for women when mentally, emothionally and physically healing from birth and caring for small children.  A Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist
