Harmony’s Family is Proud to be a Community-Responsible
& Global-Minded Company

In 2003 Harmony’s Family donated Harmony’s Child, Education for Childbirth Classes to pregnant teens from North High School.

In 2003 Harmony’s Family lead a successful food and clothing drive for the Wamblee American Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Thanks to our wonderful clients, two trucks full of supplies were driven to the reservation by Harmony’s Family owners Regina Rodriguez and Michael Joseph.

Adopt a senior. In September of 2007 Harmony’s Family (HF) was introduced to Inter-Faith Community Services (www.inter-faith.org) a nonprofit organization that “provides basic human services and enrichment programs to low-income people using community resources”. We have formed relationships with leaders in this wonderful organization that will allow Harmony’s Family to bring some of its services and resources into these areas of the community all year long. Some examples are the following:

In November 2007 Tristan Alexandrescu (COO of HF) volunteered in organizing Thanksgiving packages for families who receive assistance from Inter-Faith. We hope to have our team participate in this event annually.

December 2007 Tristan created the first annual Food-Drive at HF for Inter-Faith’s “Adopt-a-Senior” program. The Food-Drive gave massage clients of HF a matching discount of $1 off their massage service for each food item donated, up to $10 off. HF ran this program only in December of 2007. Beginning 2008 HF will begin running this Food-Drive annually from October 1 through December 10.

Soon Harmony’s Family will begin holding monthly Harmony’s Child, Education for Childbirth classes for low-income families who wish to benefit from our education services. These families will also provide beneficial support to HF as they will help the company in training future educators of the Harmony’s Child format. It is our hope to extend this mutually beneficial program style into our birth and postpartum doula services. More about this program will be shared in March 2008.

Young single mom showing off her baby's new clothes.Beginning in February 2008 Harmony’s Family will use the spirit of December’s Food-Drive, created by Tristan, and begin our first annual Mother’s Day “Baby Shower Gift Drive”. New Baby Shower items collected at HF from February 16th through May 4th 2008 will be distributed in packages to young single moms as well as to working poor families and possible families of overseas military personnel for Mother’s Day. In this drive HF will give massage clients a discount of $2 off their massage service for each baby shower item donated, up to $10 off. More about this program will be shared by February 1st 2008.

Presently Harmony’s Family is proud to donate $25 from each birth doula service to International Midwife Assistance (IMA) www.midwifeassist.org, a charitable, nonprofit, humanitarian organization that is secular and nonpolitical. IMA places midwives and other healthcare professionals in hospitals, clinics and homes in developing countries, to provide care while training fellow midwives and healthcare workers. IMA also delivers critical medical supplies, medications and teaching aids to developing countries.

Harmony’s Family has the goal of donating $2,550.00 to this organization each month through 2008; that means we hope to support 12 families with our birth doula services each month. Both physician and client referrals will help us to meet this goal.

We thank you for your interest in the services that our company provides. We are proud to be a community-responsible company and recognize that your referrals are essential in our quest. We hope that we have your continued support in growing our company as well as servicing our community.

Warm Regards,
Regina Rodriguez, Owner, CEO
